Did you know that every day a single vegan saves: 1,100 gallons of water, 30 sq ft of forest, 40 lbs of grain, 20 lbs of Co2 emissions and one animal’s life? That’s by far the most impactful change any individual can make on a daily basis for the betterment of our planet.
I’ve always been a fan of RZA and his music. For decades. But now inspired by his activism and PETA campaigns is why I chose him as the subject for Beyond Blessed’s first piece. His quote shown here really resonated with me in light of the aforementioned facts so I felt called to put a spotlight on it.

Mainstream news sources citing the devastating environmental impacts of choosing to eat meat and dairy.
At 15 Greta Thunberg incites school strikes worldwide to bring attention to the climate crisis we are actively in.
It’s becoming louder and clearer that not only is a “vegan future a better future”, but that indeed it is the ONLY path to any future.
As Zachary Toliver wrote for PETA - “The new IPCC report warns that the climate goals of the Paris Agreement could fall short unless we address land use issues and deforestation. Global land use for farms could be reduced by more than 75%—an area equivalent to the U.S., China, the European Union, and Australia combined—and still feed the entire world if everyone went vegan. This sort of change won’t come from any industry or government body—it will happen only when we all stop eating animals.”
This goes beyond culture & tradition. Beyond the belief that animals are here to be consumed. We are literally eating ourselves into extinction. We are destroying the lands, seas and skies for a sandwich. Be on the right side of history. There is no greater contribution an individual can make to save the planet. Be vegan.
